Life Coaching for Teenagers and Adults

Life coaching involves a supportive, goal-focused process that helps individuals—both teenagers and adults—develop clarity, confidence, and practical strategies to achieve personal growth and movement towards a desired future. Unlike traditional therapy, that often explores past issues and emotional distress, life coaching seeks to emphasize present and future goals; remove barriers that prevent progress; and develop skills to aid progress.

As a psychologist and counsellor, I offer a safe person-centred approach which integrates life coaching with psychological insights, tools and frameworks.

Life coaching cycle

What it involves:

  • Goal setting: Identifying personal, academic, or career goals.
  • Self-awareness: Exploring strengths, values, and areas for growth.
  • Skill development: Building resilience, communication, emotional regulation, and decision-making skills.
  • Motivation and accountability: Regular sessions to track progress and maintain focus.
  • Psychological insight: Understanding underlying thought patterns, emotions, and behaviors that may influence success or self-esteem.

Life coaching can be helpful when deciding what vocational/academic path to pursue; navigating choices around career transitions; managing work-life balance; exploring values and life purpose.
